A gorgeous, newly renovated Orlando wedding venue. A Fall palette of chocolate brown, champagne, and pops of orange, with lots of shimmer in the decor. A photobooth, a rockin’ DJ, and a first dance with a Michael Jackson “Thriller” finale. What could possibly complete an already perfect and romantic Florida fall wedding?
A belly dance show, of course!
Grace and Ronald got married at the beautiful Timacuan Country Club in Lake Mary this past October, and I was thrilled when they came to me to provide that little extra “wow factor” for their elegant reception! Grace and I instantly hit it off, because she and I were very like-minded. Like myself, Grace loves music, dance and exploring other cultures, and her goal was to immerse their guests in a unique entertainment experience unlike anything they’d ever seen before. Grace’s family is Ecuadorian, and Ronald’s family is American, and we all agreed that a belly dance show would blow them away, and make their wedding the unique one that everyone talked about long after the party was over!
Not only was the couple lucky to have tons of unique and personalized ideas and an A-list team of Orlando wedding vendors to help them carry out their vision, but they were also the first couple to get married at Timacuan Golf Club since their summer renovation! And let me tell you, brides, the place is gorgeous. The marble fireplace, the deep cherry millwork, and the ultra-modern bar are so elegant. The crystal chandeliers are so bright you’ll have to wear shades. And there’s a warm, cozy, welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay. (Plus, on a random note, David the coordinator looks like he could be David Tutera’s long-lost brother)! I have a feeling Timacuan will be one of the top Orlando wedding venues when couples see how gorgeous it is!
The highlight of my show was hearing the crowd cheer when I pulled the adorable newlyweds up to dance! As far as creating that extra-special wedding magic that would make their occasion extraordinary? I think you’ll see in the pictures below that we pulled it off with flying colors!
Before I share the pictures, I’d like to give extra-special thanks and shout-outs to Nicole Katz for sharing these pictures with me in record-breaking time. Less than 24 hours after the reception, she posted a full album of 72 beautifully edited pics, and sent me the extras that she knew I’d like. Brides – if you want FAST and QUALITY in your wedding photographer, it doesn’t get any better than Nicole!
Additional thanks to some of my favorite Orlando wedding vendors for making this a magical event. I’ve known all of these guys through the wedding industry for nearly 3 years, and give each of them my blessing if you’re looking to hire the best!
