Real Orlando Wedding: Marianne & Patrick at the Crystal Ballroom at Veranda in MetroWest

As an Orlando belly dancer, I believe that the perfect wedding contains three magic ingredients: 1. Great Music, 2. Entertainment, and 3. Lots and lots of dancing. While all of my couples appreciate the value of great entertainment, my September couple Marianne and Patrick went above and beyond to create the Party of a Lifetime at their Crystal Ballroom at Veranda wedding. My belly dance performance was just the beginning of an unforgettable evening. The ridiculously gorgeous Phoebe Vecchioni and Phoebe’s Samba Team dazzled the crowd with their hot Brazilian Carnival act after my show, and DJ Michael Lofaro of Rhythm of the Night Entertainment kept guests dancing all night with his high-energy personality and style. If you wanted to …

The Holidays Are Here! Hire an Orlando Belly Dancer for Your Party

Looking for Orlando Christmas and Holiday party ideas?

As a belly dancer in Orlando, the Holidays mark the beginning of my busy season. Not only do I dance at lots of winter weddings, but Christmas and Holiday parties are some of my most popular bookings!

While many people associate the Holidays with traditional Yuletide entertainment like carolers, Santas for the kids, and live music, lots of party hosts and hostesses want to do something different.

Belly dance to the rescue!

Why Belly Dance?

When you think about it, belly dance is the perfect form of Holiday entertainment. It’s upbeat. It’s family-friendly. And you’d be hard-pressed to find anything more festive, with the glitter, the jingling finger cymbals, and shimmering silks …

Belly Dance in the City Beautiful: Lake Eola Photo Shoot with Lee Hodge

Once upon a time, a girl moved from Connecticut to Florida to make a better life for herself. She packed her entire life in the back seat of an Acura TL, and left behind her family, her friends, and a successful dance business, only to start all over again.

There were some bumps in the road. There were many sleepless nights, and there was definitely a meltdown or two!

And there were also new friends, new dance opportunities, and new adventures in the days ahead.

She still misses good pizza and bagels, her trips to NY for belly dance workshops, and beautiful fall foliage. She misses her family each and every single day – Mom, Dad, sister, and golden retriever. …

Real Orlando Wedding: Julissa + Chayanne

There’s nothing I love more than a fairytale wedding. You know, the kind where two too-good-to-be-true human beings who have been through everything in life together, finally get their Ever After. The kind of wedding that makes even a seasoned vendor like myself want to tear up a little.

Julissa and Chayanne’s Arabian-themed wedding at Radisson in Celebration was nothing short of magical! From the plum-and-gold Moroccan-style drape and decor to the serendipitous way it all came together, this Orlando wedding was filled with fairy dust and had everybody feeling the love.

The most wonderful moment happened just before my show, when the DJ handed the mic to Julissa’s daughter and her little voice announced, “I’m gonna be a big …

Real Wedding: Ediz and Laura at JW Marriott Grande Lakes, Orlando

When I think of Spring weddings, so many wonderful things come to mind – soft colors, fragrant flowers everywhere, and tons of romantic details. One of my April couples, Ediz and Laura had the perfect Springtime wedding at the JW Marriott in Orlando. The second you set foot in the ballroom, you couldn’t help but to get swept up in the soft, romantic elegance. My kind of wedding!

This wedding also had Turkish delight on the escort table; a very fitting treat for a sweet multicultural celebration!

As with so many of the weddings I perform, I was hired by the father of the groom, as both a nod to their Turkish heritage and a fun, interactive icebreaker. The couple …
